7 Tips To Pump Up Your Morning Mood

!: 7 Tips To Pump Up Your Morning Mood

Nothing could be more difficult than waking up in the morning and thinking how you are going to get through that long tiring day when all you want to do is head back to the bed or just have a nice coffee and relax. Let us admit it. You can only get away with this kind of thinking for a few days and truth be told, would you feel proud about your life if all of your mornings were just like this?

Instead, why not choose to get up on your feet and boost your energy every morning? I promise you, this will enhance your mood and it is definitely a great fat loss motivation to help you get through your day. Look at some ideas that worked for me that I now love waking up in the morning. I never though I would be this kind of person.

Revive your system with sea salt. This will actually revive your adrenal glands (stress glands) and give you essential minerals. Before going to sleep, mix a pinch of real organic sea salt (it could be pink, grey, or black) into a glass of water. Make this a daily habit every morning. Depending on how your body reacts, you may feel some detox reaction inside you so I would advise you to stay near a toilet for at least 10 minutes. This usually happens on the first few days you start this routine but in the long run, you will be free from experiencing this.
Get rid of those toxins with fiber and lemon. Many believe that drinking freshly squeezed lemon in warm water can help you in your digestion. There is no scientific study proving this. However, this trick really works for most and that is enough for me! You can mix your lemon with salt water or prepare it separately into two glasses of water and drink it first thing in the morning. If you want to remove all those toxins quick, you can add 2 tablespoons of quality fiber. You can do this with half glass of water first and then follow it with another with another big glass.
Do not eat 2 hours before sleeping. Otherwise, you sacrifice some quality sleep and may even feel uneasy and in a bad mood the next day. Growth hormone plays an important role to a healthy metabolism and your body gets this while you are sleeping. However, this does not happen if you eat 2 hours before you sleep. I would advise going to bed with an empty stomach.
Turn off the lights in your room. Where you sleep plays an important role to the amount of quality sleep you will have. It is also vital to your health and energy in general. An article states that just a little amount of red light placed behind the knee can already slow down the production of melatonin in your body and increase cortisol, which is not good for you. You can use eye mask, if you want.
Maintain a comfortable temperature during sleep. A balanced temperature in the room is also important to your sleep. Electric blankets or night-time heaters may sound great with a cold bed but you do not want to wake up in a very warm room the next day after - your head aches very bad and you feel like your sweats just dried out while you were sleeping. What you can do is to set the timer of the heater and do not use the electric blanket unless you want your body exposed to radiation while you were sleeping. When it is summertime, you can use an electric fan instead.
Get your body moving with some outdoor activities. There is no reason why you should pass on this - get out of your bed quick, put on your shoes and a 5-10 minute walk or light running around the corner will do just fine. Alternatively, if you have a garden or terrace, you can do 5-10 minutes of sit-ups, squats and lunges. Nothing can replace a morning fresh air - regardless how cold it is - especially when you mix it up with few exercises that will make you feel pumped up for the new few hours.
Take 10 minutes to consider the day ahead. This is definitely the number one on my morning habit list and I wish I could do this as often as I can. I like my cup of quality java (which helps to lower down my heart disease risk) combined with 10 minutes of updating my journal or just thinking things over. As Ghandi said,"I have so much to do today that I do not have time not to spend an hour on my knees." Spend some time to think what really matters to you today, what you can do to make your day great and I promise you that you will feel great eventually.

What about you - what is your morning habit that really works for you?
